Job Functionof the air movement and control industry.
- Laboratory Technicians are responsible for performing tests on fans, louvers, dampers and other HVAC related equipment.
- Capable of operating and maintaining test equipment used in testing members samples.
- Communicates with members during setup and testing to ensure proper evaluation of samples.
- Provides feedback to laboratory management and engineering staff regarding laboratory procedures and testing issues.
- May initiate recommendations for new equipment designs and recommends solutions to issues observed during testing.
- May evaluate test results and report opinions and interpretations.
- Higher Secondary Education plus three years related experience preferred
- Effective communication skills and ability to interact with members
- Desire to work in a team-oriented environment
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and other programs as required
- Ability to incorporate automation into day-to-day testing
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- The work environment is typical of an industrial laboratory or warehouse.
- The job may be physically demanding at times, with extended periods of standing.
- You must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- There may be elevated noise levels at times.
- You will be required to operate a forklift, powered pallet jack or scissor lift.
